McCabe, Bret. "Kathryn Bigelow: Q&A with Director of The Hurt Locker." CityPaper. Baltimore | City Paper, n.d. Web. 11 Mar. 2014.
This is a Q&A with the director of The Hurt Locker. This Q&A also has some commentary on the actual film but it is not much to write about. The more useful part to discuss is what Kathryn Bigelow says in her responses to the questions. These responses will be extremely useful when I discuss how the film is supposed to be accurate and the film was made to be as true to the Iraq war as possible. I will use her comments as a reference to comment on how veterans disagree heavily such as Richard Allen Smith who thinks The Hurt Locker is a disgustingly untrue movie. For the Richard Allen Smith movie see below.
Smith, Richard Allen. "The Hurt Locker: Inaccurate and Disrespectful." The Huffington Post. TheHuffingtonPost.com, 08 Mar. 2010. Web. 11 Mar. 2014.
This is a review of The Hurt Locker from a veteran and a writer for the VetVotes blog. Richard Smith is commenting on how inaccurate the film actually is and gives numerous examples as to how the film completely disgraces the US Army's codes and rules. This article will be extremely useful when paired with the article from OnViolence because all the veterans believe that this film is bogus and completely inaccurate from the actual war. I will definitely use this to comment on how there seem to be two sets of audiences and the one that knows this movie is inaccurate is disgusted by it.
